This section of the trail can be turned into a loop. It climbs a total of about 800 feet, leaving the ascent pretty gradual. You'll hike through a large burn area which leaves you looking out over the beautiful mountainside. <br />
Most of the Colorado Trail is multi-use so please be on the lookout for mountain bikers.
From Colorado Springs, take US 24 to Woodland Park. Turn right onto CO 67 and go to <br />Deckers. Continue straight onto CO 126 approximately 15 miles. Turn left onto road 550. <br />Parking lot is on the right. There is a $4 daily use fee.
